Your new office renovations will look amazing… once all of that mess from the construction is tidied up. There are a ton of things just lying around, and let’s not forget about all of the sawdust and pieces of drywall. Before your renovation can look its best, you’re going to have to clean all of that up. I guess that you could do it yourself, but can you be sure that you get the site properly cleaned? Do you have the equipment necessary, or even the time? Chances are high that you don’t, and that is why you need a professional construction cleanup crew that will get your newly renovated office clean from wall to wall and ceiling to floor.
What is in it for me? – Many procrastinators have a selfish streak. While fixing the ceiling fan may help reduce your power bill, unless that fan is located in the bedroom of the procrastinator, where he or she is directly irritated by its sound, it is not a “me” project. If “their” ceiling fan is squeaking, watch how fast it gets fixed. The ceiling fan suddenly becomes a priority.
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the office renovation company. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.
Keep your work hours and dress professional for business each day. Remember, you are working from home now, its not a vacation and everyday is not Saturday. If you start to get sloppy and lazy your production WILL suffer and then you’ll end up not bringing in income and before you know it – you’ll be back in an office working for someone else. Once you’re making lots of money, you can relax your routine and discipline but for right now – you need to make lots of money and its all up to you! Keep your office hours and if you do have to pick up the kids from school and leave your office early to do so – then make sure you get into your office earlier to make up the time. Follow the same protocol of an office.
If you are not collecting names and addresses of people that are at your gigs you should start immediately. All you need is a simple sign up sheet with name, address, phone, and email address on it. I recommend making copies and putting them on the tables at the club that you are performing at before you go on stage. Get some type of box and label it with your band name. Have your singer announce from the stage a few times throughout your set that you have a mailing list and to sign up fill out the form on their table and put it in the box. Make sure you have the box located somewhere that people can easily get to and see ( the front door of the club?). Your singer can than say something to the effect put the completed forms in the box located by the front door.
But there is a whole other process, a “something” that goes on in the mind. Many people call it intuition. Others call it “gut feel,” or “tapping the universal spirit.” In contrast to rational, linear left-brain thinking, it is sometimes called “right-brain” thinking, synthetic, or holistic thinking. I’m going to call it unconscious thinking. What I mean by this cumbersome phrase is that this kind of ideation is based on removing the linear, rational, questioning, conscious thinker from the equation, and tapping into the results when they come.
If you think you lack a certain skill, offset it with bigger numbers. For example, maybe you have chosen to market your new website with articles posted elsewhere. If you are not the best writer, publish more articles in as many places as possible. This automatically increases your odds of getting traffic, even if every article is not a superb sales piece.
When I consider the words, “Your Gift For Today,” rather than imagining what gift might come to me, I pray that I will imagine what my gift for someone else will be today.
